The state has reported no new community cases of coronavirus on day two of a snap lockdown for Perth and the Peel region

Western Australia has reported no new community cases of coronavirus on day two of a snap lockdown for Perth and the Peel region after the virus spread from a quarantine hotel in the city.

The state’s premier, Mark McGowan, said on Sunday that there had been no new locally-acquired cases, but there was one additional case in hotel quarantine, who was a “returning resident who has travelled back from India”.
