Millions in Myanmar need live-saving help, UN aid chief warns

More than 3 million people in trouble as violence and instability continues to plague country since coup

United Nations aid chief Martin Griffiths has warned that the humanitarian situation in Myanmar is deteriorating, with more than 3 million people in need of life-saving aid due to a growing conflict and failing economy.

“The humanitarian situation in Myanmar is deteriorating”, Griffiths said in a statement on Monday, adding that “without an end to violence and a peaceful resolution of Myanmar’s crisis, this number will only rise”.
